Share this Memorial with Friends & Family: Share Memorial on FB Biography: Sven-Göran Eriksson (Swedish pronunciation: [svɛnˈjœ̂ːran ˈêːrɪkˌsɔn] ⓘ; 5 February 1948 – 26 August 2024) was a Swedish football player and manager. After a playing career as a right-back, Eriksson went on to experience major success in club management between 1977 and 2001, winning 18 trophies with a variety of league clubs in Sweden, Portugal, and Italy. In European competition, he won both the UEFA Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup (the last edition of the latter trophy before its abolition) and reached the final of the European Cup. Eriksson made his debut for Swedish football Division 4 team Torsby at the age of 16.[7] He switched clubs to Sifhälla after moving to Säffle to study economics.[8] In 1972, he joined Swedish football Division 2 team Karlskoga, where he also worked as a physical education teacher in Örebro.[9] Eriksson was heavily influenced by Karlskoga's player-manager, Tord Grip, who favoured the English style of play that Bob Houghton and Roy Hodgson had brought to the country.[9] Eriksson retired from playing in 1975 at the age of 27, after giving up on his dream of playing professional football; he summed up his brief playing career by saying: "I was looked upon as a distinctly average defender, but someone who rarely made mistakes".[10] Gallery: Listen To Their Voice: Sven-Goran Eriksson 00:00 / 00:27 Location Of Memorial: Not publicly known Memorial Created By: Anonymous

Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, when she was 23, she became an activist for raising awareness about the disease among young people, and founded the charity CoppaFeel!. Kristin Hallenga was born to a German father and English mother in Norden, Lower Saxony, West Germany on 11 November 1985.[2][3][4] Her parents divorced when she was nine, and her mother returned to England with Hallenga and her two sisters, where they lived in Daventry, Northamptonshire.[2][5] She was an honorary graduate of Nottingham Trent University.[6] Hallenga was profiled in Kris - Dying to Live, a documentary that covered her experience with terminal breast cancer. Share this Memorial with Friends & Family: Share Memorial on FB Biography: Bernard John Marsden (7 May 1951 – 24 August 2023) was an English rock and blues guitarist. He is primarily known for his work with Whitesnake, having written or co-written with David Coverdale many of the group’s hit songs, such as “Fool for Your Loving”, “Walking in the Shadow of the Blues”, “Ready an’ Willing”, “Lovehunter”, “Trouble”, and “Here I Go Again”. Marsden started his musical career with local Buckingham based groups, including Clockwork Mousetrap (previously The Daystroms), before forming Skinny Cat at the age of 17. He got his first professional gig with UFO in 1972. He next played with Glenn Cornick’s Wild Turkey in 1973, before he joined drummer Cozy Powell’s band Cozy Powell’s Hammer. He then joined Babe Ruth in 1975, and played on two releases for Capitol Records, Stealin’ Home (1975) and Kid’s Stuff (1976). During his time with Babe Ruth, Cozy Powell recommended him to Jon Lord, who was forming a post Deep Purple band with Ian Paice, Paice Ashton Lord, in 1976, with Tony Ashton. During his time recording the Malice in Wonderland album with Paice Ashton Lord, Marsden worked alongside saxophonist Howie Casey who recommended Marsden join Paul McCartney’s Wings, but the position never materialised, as Whitesnake was being formed at the same time period. After Paice Ashton Lord folded in 1978, Marsden formed a new band with former Deep Purple vocalist David Coverdale and guitarist Micky Moody. The band started as David Coverdale’s White Snake, which then became Whitesnake. Marsden played on the first EP, first five albums and a live album: Snakebite (1978), Trouble (1978), Lovehunter (1979), Ready & Willing (1980), Live In The Heart Of The City (1980), Come An’ Get It (1981) and Saints & Sinners (1982), contributing many of the songs with David Coverdale and sometimes Moody. Bernie Marsden passed away on August 24th, 2023 at the age of 72 due to bacterial meningitis. A tribute to Bernie Marsden can be found on YouTube. An England and Great Britain representative, Burrow spent his entire 16-year professional career with Leeds Rhinos in the Super League, making nearly 500 appearances between 2001 and 2017. At 5 ft 5 in (165 cm) tall and weighing less than 11 st (70 kg; 150 lb), Burrow was known for many years as "the smallest player in Super League". Despite this, he was one of the most successful players in the competition's history, winning eight Super League championships, two Challenge Cups, being named to the Super League Dream Team on three occasions and winning the Harry Sunderland Trophy twice. In December 2019, Burrow was diagnosed with motor neurone disease.[6] Following his diagnosis, Burrow raised awareness for MND with fellow player Kevin Sinfield. Both were awarded CBEs in 2024 because of their efforts in raising funds and awareness of the disease. Born on September 30, 1936, in Manchester, England, to Eleanor and Stan Green, she grew up to become a beloved figure in the world of television, theater, and musicals. Meg Johnson's journey in the entertainment industry began at a young age when she made her stage debut in Bolton during World War II. She displayed her talent and passion for performance, eventually leading her to take singing lessons to address asthma-related challenges. Her professional acting career commenced in May 1961 when she was cast in the television series "Here's Harry," a role she held until 1964. Subsequent roles in productions like "Family Solicitor" and "The Referees" contributed to her growing presence in the industry. Meg Johnson's television career included appearances in iconic soap operas. She notably played Eunice Gee in "Coronation Street" from 1981 to 1999, earning recognition and admiration for her portrayal. Share this Memorial with Friends & Family: Share Memorial on FB Biography: Stephen Harold Halliwell was born on 19 March 1946 in Bury, Lancashire to parents Fred and Jenny Halliwell.[1] He had a brother, Clive, who was two years older.[2] Halliwell was an apprentice engineer and worked mainly in cotton and paper mills before drama training at the Mountview Theatre School.[3] He was a founding member of the Interchange Theatre in Bury.[3] Halliwell was once arrested for sleeping rough in an empty government building in London. In 1973 she married David and 8 years later had a son, Anthony. She enjoyed listening to Jim Reeves and Roy Orbison. She was creative with her sewing machine, making bridesmaids dresses for family and friends weddings, making cuddly toys and clothes for her grandchildren. She enjoyed line dancing and loved family events. Rita was very family orientated and would do anything for anyone, her support was unwavering and her love was unmatched.
